The Board of Education, Fredericktown Local Schools, Fredericktown, Ohio, will receive sealed bids for Renovations to Bus Maintenance Facility.
Bids shall be on a stipulated sum basis.
The Board of Education will receive bids until 1:00 p.m. on December 20, 2024, at 117 Columbus Road., Fredericktown, Ohio 43019. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after specified closing time. All interested parties are invited to attend.

Bid security in the form of certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid shall accompany each bid; or a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Chapter 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid shall accompany each bid.
Each successful bidder is required to furnish a Contract Bond in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 100 percent of the full contract sum, if not provided as part of the bid security.
A prebid conference will be held on December 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., local time, at the Project site, 111 High Street, Fredericktown Local Schools, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019. Attendance by bidders is optional, but recommended, in order to clarify or answer questions concerning the Drawings and Project Manual for the Project. Entry to the project site will be limited to this scheduled time unless approval is given by Owner.

The estimated cost of the Construction Work is: $723,000.00.
The Owner reserves the right to reject each and every bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipt of bids.
No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the bid opening thereof.

GENERAL MONITORING OF SCHOOL-ISSUED DEVICES
Please be aware that the Fredericktown Local School District, either directly or through a technology provider, is electing to generally monitor all school-issued devices (as that term is defined by R.C. 3319.325). The monitoring will include the following features: location tracking and student interactions with school- issued devices (e.g., keystrokes and web-browsing activity). The District generally monitors these features for the noncommercial education purpose of instruction, technical support, and/or exam proctoring. Additionally, these features are generally monitored as a necessary precaution for preventing and/or responding to threats to life or safety.
