Fredericktown Local Schools is pleased to announce  the appointment of Regina Sackman as the new Elementary School Principal. With a diverse background in education and a deep commitment to fostering engaging learning environments, Mrs. Sackman brings a wealth of experience that will greatly benefit our school community. She steps into this role following the tenure of Mr. Matt Caputo, who embarks on his new journey as Fredericktown’s Director of Student Services. The Board approved Mrs. Sackman’s hiring at the school board meeting on Thursday, June 13.

Mrs. Sackman successfully led the expansion of Mansfield’s Springmill Elementary’s STEM  Program, demonstrating her ability to innovate and nurture educational growth. Her integration of nature and environmental science into the STEM curriculum exemplifies her forward-thinking  approach to education.

Prior to her administrative roles, Mrs. Sackman served as an associate faculty at The Ohio State University Mansfield for 12 years, where she trained and supervised education field supervisors and cultivated partnerships with local schools. Her experience as a teacher in Shelby City Schools and Madison Local Schools further enriches her understanding of  classroom dynamics and instructional best practices.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Regina Sackman to Fredericktown Elementary School. We look forward to her leadership and the difference she will make for our students and the Fredericktown Community.

Dear Fredericktown Parents/Guardians,

Just a reminder as we end this school year that the State of Ohio’s Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT) program will be sending students who have been approved for free and reduced-price lunches this school year a benefit card in the mail. Fredericktown Local School District students that have enrolled and been approved for the free and reduced-price meal program for this school year will automatically receive a total of $120 in S-EBT benefits that are placed on a card that can be used at authorized grocery stores to buy food items.

The State of Ohio will begin to process the benefits in mid-June, and will be mailed out after that. If you have not yet enrolled in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) for this school year, and believe you qualify, please visit the following link to submit your application:

Questions about the program should be directed to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s Office of Nutrition at (614) 466-2945.
