FLS Functional Safety Drill

Fredericktown Local Schools, in cooperation with the Knox County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), the Fredericktown Police Department, and the Fredericktown Fire Department, will be conducting a district-wide Functional safety exercise on Wednesday afternoon, September 16, 2026.

What to Expect:

· Modified Lockdown & Evacuation: The exercise will involve a K–12 building-wide modified lockdown followed by a supervised evacuation to our designated rallying points at the Administration Building and Cornerstone Church.

· First Responder Presence: Community members and families will notice a heightened presence of police, fire, EMS, and emergency management personnel in and around the Fredericktown campus throughout the afternoon.

Important Note for Families & Residents:

This is a planned training drill designed to test and refine our emergency response protocols alongside local public safety partners. There is no active threat or actual emergency during this event.

We appreciate the community's patience and support as we practice and strengthen our commitment to student and staff safety.
