Dear Students and Parents:
High school years are filled with anticipation and promise while students prepare to move forward as global citizens. Major milestones of a successful high school experience include graduation and admission to the college or university of their choice. Obtaining that acceptance letter from one’s college of choice, along with a significant financial aid award, can be the cornerstone of a successful future.
Every year we recognize that an increase of just one or two points on the ACT or a better-prepared application can make the difference between acceptance and significant financial aid awards or a student being wait-listed or rejected. A College Sense Selective College Admissions and ACT Preparation Seminar can assure that your student is informed about what colleges are looking for in their selection process and provide strategies to improve ACT scores.
College Sense has a dedicated team of professionals who specialize in teaching students how to construct their applications to reflect the best light on their potential and value to their universities of choice. Our seminars reveal little-known insights about the admissions process that will help position your student for more favorable and successful consideration. In addition, your student will be exposed to the latest testing and time management strategies for the ACT, often resulting in average increases of 2.5 composite points or more. The combination of these two approaches has proven successful for thousands of students, often increasing admissions percentages by 15% to 20% for participating high schools.
Fredericktown High School is very committed to increasing its college admissions and placement rate and ACT profile and will host this intensive, six-hour seminar for our students for just $20 each on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. The price includes the seminar, a comprehensive workbook, unlimited access to online testing and assessment, and free, live, call-in tutoring after the session. Similar programs range from $199 to $300 per student. Don’t miss this opportunity to provide a best-in-class instructional and informational opportunity for your student. Because all juniors will take the ACT in late February, we highly recommend this seminar. If you have any questions, please see LeeAnne Jurkowitz in the Counseling Office here.
To register, complete the attached registration form & bring it with cash, check, or money order made out to Fredericktown Local Schools for $20 to Ms. Jurkowitz in the Counseling Office by Friday, February 9th.
Please remind your student to bring note-taking paper, pencils, a highlighter, and an optional calculator.
