Students: It’s time to sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT! The cost is $15, payable in the guidance office by September 19th. The test will take place at the Administrative Offices (old HS) on October 19th.
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test administered by the College Board and cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). The scores from the PSAT/NMSQT are used to determine eligibility and qualification for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Not only does the PSAT help prepare students to take the SAT or ACT, the PSAT can also open the door to National Merit Scholarships and other awards. With $180 million dollars in scholarships awarded to students who achieve high scores on the PSAT, how a student performs on this exam can help determine scholarship money for the future.
