Message from the Superintendent

August 1, 2017

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Fredericktown Local Schools! It's an honor to serve as Superintendent and look forward to working with parents and students, teachers and administrators, and state and local officials to provide opportunities for every student to excel in a changing world.

FLS is committed to providing a top-notch educational experience. We welcome and encourage your participation, questions, and feedback so we can continually improve our efforts and ultimately best serve the Fredericktown children.

A top priority of my administration is to provide the support needed to operate our schools. Our roadmap to the future will be focused on four key areas: academic excellence, resource stability, community awareness, and the overall student experience.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Fredericktown will provide rigorous academic and co-curricular opportunities that prepare students to become contributing citizens in a changing world.

RESOURCE STABILITY
The district will demonstrate efficiency in its business practices that reflects faithful stewardship of taxpayer dollars. With every dollar invested, there will be a value for our parents and students.

COMMUNITY POSITIONING
FLS will increase public awareness of its quality academic and co-curricular programs.

STUDENT EXPERIENCE
Fredericktown enjoys a rich tradition dating back to the first graduating class in 1871. The district will implement and sustain activities that demonstrate a culture that promotes rigor, celebrates accomplishments, and values diversity in a safe and caring environment.

Working together, I am confident WE can create an educational experience in Fredericktown that will be among the best in Ohio. I look forward to working with you in achieving this worthy goal. Fredericktown's children deserve no less.

Go Freddies!

Matthew W. Chrispin
