Dear FLS Parents and Students,

I am honored to serve as your Superintendent and look forward to working with students and parents, teachers and administrators, and local and state officials to provide opportunities for every student to excel in a changing world.

The Fredericktown Local Schools (FLS) is committed to providing a top-notch educational experience.  We welcome and encourage your participation, questions, and comments so we can continually improve our efforts and ultimately best serve the children of Fredericktown.

A top priority of my administration is to provide the support needed to operate our schools.  Our roadmap to the future will be focus on four key areas: academic excellence, resource stability, community awareness, and the overall student experience.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Fredericktown will provide rigorous academic and co-curricular opportunities that prepare students to become contributing citizens in a changing world.  Our teachers are committed to using educational practices that have demonstrated proven results.  FLS is a district driven by best practices that result in improved outcomes for our students.

RESOURCE STABILITY

The district will demonstrate efficiency in its business practices that reflects faithful stewardship of taxpayer dollars.  With every dollar invested, there will be a value for our parents and students.  Our community must be confident that when they invest in education they will realize a dividend on that investment, evidenced by academic achievement and improved overall quality of education.

COMMUNITY AWARENESS

FLS will increase public awareness in its quality academic and co-curricular programs. Various avenues of communication (website, PowerSchool, SchoolConnects, newspaper, etc.) will be used to provide timely and cost-effective information to stakeholders.  We want stakeholders to always be informed about the great happenings at FLS.

STUDENT EXPERIENCE

We have a rich tradition dating back to our first graduating class in 1871.  We will implement and sustain programs that promote rigor, celebrate accomplishments, and value diversity in a safe and caring environment.  We want our student body, our alumni, and our community to be proud of Fredericktown Local Schools.

Working together, I am confident WE can create an educational experience in Fredericktown that will be among the best in Ohio.  I look forward to working with you in achieving this worthy goal.  Fredericktown’s children deserve no less.
