Congratulations to 8th Grader, Quinn Bartsch for winning the Knox County Spelling Bee, and to 5th Grader, Brady Van Houten for taking second place!
This is the second year in a row that Fredericktown students won the top two spots in the County Spelling Bee. They competed against fourteen other students from Mount Vernon, Centerburg, East Knox, Fredericktown, and Danville in grades 5-8.
Van Houten and Bartsch went through several rounds until Van Houten misspelled "dementia". Bartsch spelled the next word correctly "hirsute" for the win!
