Blood drive

 

Dear Parents/Guardian,

We need your help!! The big community blood drive is this Wednesday and we still have lots of open times. This is a scholarship drive so you are helping the students and also saving lives. Each pint of blood collected has the potential to help up to three hospital patients in need. Your student will also get a prizes and a certificate for helping! The American Red Cross values your time and donation so we have committed a lot more staff this year to make sure that the collection wait times are as short as possible and your donation will go smoothly. Please schedule today by calling 1-800 RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, sponsor code Fredericktown HS.

Fredericktown Local Schools will be accepting applications for open enrollment beginning Monday, April 2, 2018 thru Monday, May 15, 2018.  For further infor please contact the Administration Office with any questions 740-694-2956.

MS Dance

The Fredericktown Middle School Student Council will host its final dance of the year on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. The theme of the dance is "Neon", and the dress code is casual. Cost of admission is $3.00, and photos, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase at $1.00 each.

Middle School Dance

On Friday, December 8, 2017, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., the Middle School Student Council will be hosting "A Night in Paris", a semi-formal dance. The cost of admission is $3.00 and drinks, snacks, and photos will be available for purchase at a cost of $1.00 each. The dance is open to middle school students residing in the Fredericktown Local School District.

Spelling Bee

Students in grades 5-8 competed in our school spelling bees this month.  Each participant did a wonderful job.  Congratulations to our winners and runner-ups in each grade!  The champion from each grade will go on to compete in the 58th Annual Knox County Spelling Bee on  January 11, 2018. The champions are also hoping to qualify for the Regional Spelling Bee which will take place at Ohio University in March.

Parent Lockdown Information

Parents are encouraged to read the attached information sheet from Superintendent Matt Chrispin regarding annual lockdown drills and procedures.

Attendance Quick Facts

It is important for every student to attend school every day. Missing too much school has long-term, negative effects on students, such as lower achievement and graduation rates. In December 2016, the Ohio General Assembly passed House Bill 410 to encourage and support a preventative approach to excessive absences and truancy. Fredericktown Local Schools is implementing the changes required by House Bill 410, which is encompassed in detail in the Student/Parent Handbook. Click here to download the quick facts.

Cafeteria Charge Policy

The food service department is pleased to offer breakfast and lunch to all students. Applications for free or reduced priced meals are available at each school office and on the school web site www.fredericktownlocalschools.com. Applications may be filled out ANY time during the school year!

We understand that occasionally a child may forget his/her lunch money therefore we allow students to charge a meal under the following guidelines:
