Spelling Bee

Students in grades 5-8 competed in our school spelling bees this month.  Each participant did a wonderful job.  Congratulations to our winners and runner-ups in each grade!  The champion from each grade will go on to compete in the 58th Annual Knox County Spelling Bee on  January 11, 2018. The champions are also hoping to qualify for the Regional Spelling Bee which will take place at Ohio University in March.

Parents are encouraged to read the attached information sheet from Superintendent Matt Chrispin regarding annual lockdown drills and procedures.

Attendance Quick Facts

It is important for every student to attend school every day. Missing too much school has long-term, negative effects on students, such as lower achievement and graduation rates. In December 2016, the Ohio General Assembly passed House Bill 410 to encourage and support a preventative approach to excessive absences and truancy. Fredericktown Local Schools is implementing the changes required by House Bill 410, which is encompassed in detail in the Student/Parent Handbook. Click here to download the quick facts.

Cafeteria Charge Policy

The food service department is pleased to offer breakfast and lunch to all students. Applications for free or reduced priced meals are available at each school office and on the school web site www.fredericktownlocalschools.com. Applications may be filled out ANY time during the school year!

We understand that occasionally a child may forget his/her lunch money therefore we allow students to charge a meal under the following guidelines:
