FASFA Parent Meeting

A college financial aid advisor will be at FHS on Tuesday, October 24 from 6-7 pm in the MS/HS Library to discuss the financial aid process and answer questions for seniors and parents about submitting the form. Other grade levels are also welcome to attend!

FHS Getting an Ohio Historical Marker

Superintendent Matt Chrispin announced the Local History Service Department at the Ohio History Connection approved Fredericktown Local Schools’ application for an Ohio Historical Marker. In addition, the district was one of ten applicants to receive a $750 grant to be applied towards the historical marker.

A total of 31 applications for grants were received, so the competition was significant. FFA emblem The bronze marker will be titled ‘Home of the FFA Jacket’ and highlight the district’s iconic contribution to the national organization. A dedication ceremony will be held at a date to be determined in May 2018 at Fredericktown High School.

Board President Candi Gallagher remarked, “The Fredericktown Board of Education is very excited and honored to be selected for this historical marker to commemorate the “Home of the FFA Jacket.” Our chapter is a strong and vital part of our school and community. We are very proud of Dr. Gus Lintner, who as the Fredericktown FFA advisor, created the famous blue corduroy jacket that his members of the then FFA Band, and part of the local Chapter wore to their Kansas City Convention.”

Attendance Quick Facts

It is important for every student to attend school every day. Missing too much school has long-term, negative effects on students, such as lower achievement and graduation rates. In December 2016, the Ohio General Assembly passed House Bill 410 to encourage and support a preventative approach to excessive absences and truancy. Cafeteria Charge Policy

The food service department is pleased to offer breakfast and lunch to all students. Applications for free or reduced priced meals are available at each school office and on the school web site www.fredericktownlocalschools.com. Applications may be filled out ANY time during the school year!

We understand that occasionally a child may forget his/her lunch money therefore we allow students to charge a meal under the following guidelines:
